What a Girl Wants

I made this loaf of bread a couple of days ago, and Lydia said I should take a picture of it, since it came out so perfect.
It was certainly prettier and taller than most of my breads.

Also, Lydia wrote out a wish list.  My favorite part is hard to see, but just under wish list it says "oh, and a farm".  That's my girl :)

Jump!

Yesterday was a great day to get out on the trampoline.
I jumped with Gyunay and Lydia in the afternoon.  The static was amazing, particularly on Lydia!

Then, when the big boys got home, all four kids were jumping.  This is pretty rare, so it was nice to see.

Green

The sun room is starting to come alive.
I've got more and more seeds starting in the sunroom.

Lydia made this little guy at botany class.  She calls him Teddy, after one of her cousins, because he is a ground hog.  (Teddy has a ground hog day birthday.)

And today, Lydia took Bugs the bunny out for exercise while the cats were around.  The cats were very curious.

Fortunately for Bugs, she is bigger than the cats, or they probably would have tried to kill her.

Lydia's Secret Hideout

Lydia asked to take the camera yesterday, and she was off to her secret hideout to take pictures.

Our cats are amazing.  They are just so fun.  And we no longer ever have mice in the house!

Lydia also took some pictures in the huglekultur.  Above is the arugula, still alive despite freezing over last week.  Below is the garlic, which will grow slowly over winter and eventually be harvested in late June/early July.

Really Big Show

We had a quick trip into visit family and to see my niece in the Really Big Show!
The kids were thrilled to spend time with their cousins.

The group photo was kinda hard, as usual.  Mine turned out a bit blurry; maybe someone else got a better one.

And just look at this cutie.  He gave me the best gift this weekend: he hugged me so wonderfully.  He doesn't give out hugs freely all the time, so when he decides to cuddle in and hold you, you just melt.

Circus Fun

We used to go to the circus most years, but we hadn't been in 5 years.  Gyunay had never been to the circus, but yesterday, he went for the first time.

He enjoyed it.  He wore his headphones off and on, and he mostly sat in my lap.  He spent his money on cotton candy, as you can see!
Lydia spent her money on something a bit more exciting.  I joined her for a ride on an Asian elephant.  All of us had a good time, and it was not crowded at all, probably because it was Super Bowl Sunday.
